We’re pleased to have you with us at The Meads Shopping Centre. Whether you’re visiting for a day of shopping or stopping by for a quick meal, we’re committed to creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all. To help ensure this, we ask all visitors to observe the following guidelines while in the centre.
General Conduct
- Children must be supervised at all times. For their safety and the comfort of others, please keep children within your care close by.
- Respectful behaviour is expected. Any conduct that may be perceived as aggressive, intimidating, or inappropriate toward fellow visitors, staff, or retailers will not be tolerated.
- Please keep your face visible. Hoods, crash helmets, or anything that obscures your face should be removed while inside the centre.
- Maintain cleanliness. Please use the bins provided and help us keep the centre clean and welcoming.
Activities & Use of Space
- Promotional activities require permission. This includes leafleting, canvassing, conducting surveys, or filming and photography. Prior approval from centre management is required.
- No ball games or physical play. Activities such as ball games, throwing objects, or similar behaviour are not permitted in the centre.
- Trolleys must remain within designated areas. Supermarket or retail trolleys are not to be brought into the centre.
- Recreational wheeled devices are not allowed. For safety reasons, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, micro-scooters, Segways, and Heelys® are not permitted within the centre.
Dress & Appearance
- Appropriate attire is required. We ask all visitors to remain fully clothed and dressed appropriately for a public space.
- Visibility is important. Crash helmets and hoods should be removed while indoors, for security and approachability.
Substances & Consumption
- No smoking or vaping inside. This includes electronic cigarettes.
- Alcohol may only be consumed in licensed premises within the centre.
Serious Conduct & Enforcement
- Damage or aggression will not be tolerated. Acts of vandalism, theft, or aggressive behaviour will be taken seriously and may be reported to the local authorities.
- Centre bans may be applied. Behaviour deemed inappropriate, threatening, or unsafe may result in temporary or permanent exclusion from the premises, at the discretion of management.
